Students will observe a family gathering, festival, or other ceremony, celebration, etc that
involves an ethnic/religious/social group or group “outside” of their experiences. Interviews can be included as part of this assignment as well. A 4-page paper will then be composed recording the events observed along with the student’s reaction. Strong sensory details also are required. In addition, you must observe something new for this paper; therefore, past experiences cannot be used for this assignment. Furthermore, note that this paper should not be research-based. Only Word or rtf files will be accepted.
