-Reading: “What Reading Does for the Mind” by Anne Cunningham and Keith Stanovich; and “Hitting Them Hardest When They’re Small” by Jonathan Kozol

-Write: Summarize each text and give the main point. What evidence do the authors use to support their claims? Then compare/contrast their main points with your own past in terms of education and literacy.
