Im trying to study for my Writing course and I need some help to understand this question.
Consider the following:
In 2007, it was reported that the University of Florida started a new fundraising campaign, where if a booster donated $1 million dollars, he/she could spend the day with Coach Urban Meyer and his staff or run on the football field with the team before a home game.
Loyal boosters who have high-profile positions in large companies, such as a chief executive officer, or who are company presidents or business owners are known for making substantial donations to their favorite athletic programs, whether theyre alumni or just big supporters of the sports teams at that particular school.
For this task, you will construct research for an argumentative essay regarding athletic boosters activities.
Your research must include, but should not be limited to, the following topics of debate:
- Do forms of fundraising provide an advantage to larger schools? Why or why not?
- Should types of fundraising be legal or illegal?
- Do you feel fundraising strategies are getting more complex and perplexing situations that can be mislead as a lack of institution control?
